My name is T.J., and I began my career in the cosmetic industry long before my first class at the AVEDA Institute of Beauty and Wellness. Throughout high school, I polished my “craft” in conjunction with my love of theater; I did all of the hair and makeup for school productions, proms, and more. I even worked extensively on many types of wigs. Thanks to continued education, technique training, and a passion for all things beauty, I am now an accomplished level three stylist at Capricio Salon and Spa.

In the early stages of my career I received several awards for my creative work, including the Professional Beauty Association’s Beacon contest. With that honor, I had the privilege of attending The Salon Association’s “10 Big Ideas” symposium in San Diego, CA. I have trained under Ty Isobe and Vivienne MacKinder, two well-known industry professionals. I’ve also traveled to Las Vegas twice to attend Redken’s Symposium. During my career at Capricio Salon and Spa, I’ve furthered my education by attending numerous Advanced Coloring and Hairdressing classes, as well as a variety of other technique training courses. Independently, my work has been featured in local fashion shows, theater work, and photo shoots. My ultimate career goals are to become Redken color certified and to become an educator while continuing to learn and grow both personally and professionally.

I gather inspiration from all aspects of life, and I enjoy seeing them translated into creative colors, cuts, and styles. I have a genuine desire to make people feel great and I enjoy creating an individualized, complete look for each of my guests. I can effectively take a client’s ideas and mold them into a trendy, stylish look while still maintaining their original vision. To me, the client is the most important person- let me prove it to you!
